25p capture delay on new mac and STUDIO 2

Hi its doing my head in, all i want to do is captur my footage and it seems to miss whole clips! JVC gy-hd111e 720p 25p
i shoot a lot of action and sometimes these clips are short.
i tried the AIC but it converts footage into 50p or something.
how can i capture all my clips with out missing so much????
if anyone has any ideas......

Hi Mick.

You could change the capture settings/preferences in FCP to minimize the amount of pre-roll needed.

But if that doesn't do the trick, there is a foolproof method which will capture every single frame recorded on your tape (the DVHSCap-MPEG Streamclip workaround).

I've given the complete steps for it in this post:

I've given that example using the AIC codec, but you could also use ProRes (as you have FCS2).

Good luck.
