exporting FCP 16:9
 

Having real trouble exporting as a Quicktime movie (not using quicktime conversion) from final cut pro:

footage filmed at 16:9 and captured 'dvpal 48k anamorphic'
sequence settings: dvpal 5:4, PAR pal 720x576 with the anamorphic box checked.

when export it and let it 'use current settings' it squashes it to 5:4

please help

running fcp v5.1.2

animorphic means the video is squished, if you want it to play back wide 16x9, open your video, hit apple j in quicktime, click "presentation", check "conform..." and select clean or production from the drop down menu. This is the nature of animorphic.
