thinking of going mac / fcp
 

i currently use liquid and have ben told i need to move to mac. we produce hunting and fishing dvd and im sure we will be soon working in hd soon. am thinking of starting with a macbook pro any suggestions???

I have been looking at Videocraft. I just bought my Sony Z1 and other bits through them.

Right now if i got an imac with as much ram as it will take and used Final Cut Pro 5.... will this work?
I can get a copy of FCP 5 cheap.

I know a guy who is using FCP 5.1.4 on an Intel iMac. It works, though he has complained about some slugishness... though I believe he was making a comparisson to his old PowerPC iMac. This was the first batch of Intel iMacs he had, so the newer ones may prove better.
