HDD Temp. Monitoring for Mac Pro!

My new Mac Pro will be arriving in couple of days. I'm like a teenage girl waiting for her first prom date ;-)

I wanted to know how the Mac Pro owners here are monitoring/reducing the running temperature of the internal bay hard drives. Is there an integrated temperature monitoring application in Mac OS? Or I should be looking into standalone software?

My Mac Pro is coming with HDD's in all four bays. How is this going to affect the air-flow between them? Based on looking at pictures and videos of inside of the Mac Pro, it looks pretty cramped up (due to apple's attempt to keep things organized, they have added few compartments). Should I be looking into adding extra fans? Ideally, I want to get all four HDD's running under 40 C.

Thanks for your help.

I've used the free program Temperature Monitor: http://www.bresink.com/osx/TemperatureMonitor.html

I've been using fmcFanControl and liking it a lot.
A very useful program.
See what you think.

A Widget named iStat Pro works well.

My Mac Pro and it's HDD bays run well below 40C with all slots full of 750 and 500 GB drives as well as two extra PCI-e cards (Blackmagic/eSATA). Don't worry, but do keep the front and rear grills clean.
