I was just funnin' ya about the "flat" remark. Indeed, crt -vs- lcd is a very individual decision. Many graphic designers prefer crt's for their color flexibility and ability to be accurately calibrated for prepress work. OS-X provides a pretty good facility to calibrate the Cinema display, including one profile specifically for NTSC video.
Since I don't use the lcd for color adjustment work I'm not very concerned with dead-on true color on the CD. |
