DVD Studio Pro 4 won't save new project??

When I open DVDSP and start a new project, I can click File>Save As... and save the project. However, when I try to make subsequent saves via the pull-down menu or Command+S, I get the error message "The document [documentname] could not be saved". What gives?!?
