Editing HDV For SD Delivery
Hello,
I've just started shooting with my GY-HD110U (upgrade from a tiny pv-gs180), and am shooting for a DVD-broadcast destination... Editing FCS2 on a Macbook Pro, 15"...
Assuming I import in 720p24, is it better to edit in HD then use compressor to downres, or edit in SD... I know the manual says to stay in HD as long as possible, but I invariably end up re-framing things and stuff like that. Therefore, I was thinking it might be better to edit in SD where FCP will know that there's more information that will be ending up in the video, and won't have to blow-up the image digitally at all.
Does that make sense to anyone else?
Thanks
