Training Media

What is a good training dvd set to get up to speed on FCP? I'm making the switch from Vegas. I would also hope maybe these dvd's would gear toward the Apple certifications.

Thanks,
John

Peach Pit has good books that take you step by step....also training DVDs by Larry Jordan are pretty decent too..

I have used and recommend Ripple Training's Final Cut Pro getting Started

Final Cut Pro 6 Getting Started DVD Edition

Have a look at the samples and free tutorials to see if you like their style (screen capture with voiceover).

I have been learning FCP and Dreamweaver with Learning @ Your Own PaceŽ - lynda.com, I find it to have some very good material. The only drawback is that is done on-line via quicktime movies so you do need to be connected to the internet, although this has not been a problem for me. For an annual fee (around $200) they have a VERY LARGE library that you have total access to.

You can't go wrong with the Apple Pro Training Series. A book/DVD for each module in FCS

I agree...the books produced by the authors of Peach Pit are way too good in taking you step by step...I would highly recommend those over any other training material!!!
