Film jump

I'm looking for a good plug in for FCP 6 that will give me the look of film jumping from the bottom of the screen with an orange flash or something. I've seen some really good stuff from AE, and I can't find the clips anywhere for the life of me now.

While this effect could be reproduced manually with a combination of built-in effects and motion you should check out the pre-built filters from Noise Industries and their FxFactory Pro pack of filters and add-ons and, the Sapphire filters from GenArts.

FxFactory Pro is much more affordable and has amazing amounts of variables and the ability to customize individual filters to suit your tastes. They also have companies that are creating additional effects and filters including some high-end titling from Yanobox.

Try the Nattress film filters:Nattress

No direct relation to me but we do have distant relatives with the mis-spelling of the name on the register.

For those curious, the actual plug-in used is a filter called "Twitch" from VideoCoPilot. Unfortunately it's only for After Effects, it's not FCP compatible.

You'll find that most high-end motion/morphing/3D effects are specifically for AE because that's what AE does best, creates special effects.

Yeah, Matt told me what he was using for the filter, but just as you stated, there is nothing for FCP. That's why I was inquiring if anyone knew of something like that for FCP.
