Mac Soundtrack Question - Douglas???
So, I can't figure this out. I have a dual G5 and have created two different accounts on the computer, one for me and one for my business partner. I have admin turned on for both accounts, however when he goes into soundtrack while logged into his account, no instruments show up, they are all unclickable. Soundtrack works perfectly in my account, no problem. Any advice?? What am I missing??? Thanks in advance

I am not a Mac expert, heck, I don't even play one on TV, but I think the problem is that you have installed Soundtrack in your "User" applications instead of the global applications folder.

Log in as your partner and reinstall the software. In System Preferences do you both have admin privileges? If not you may need to enable your partners privileges.

Jeff,
Thanks, I'll try that. Yes, both accounts are admin-abled. Is this going to be necessary for other programs as well? Or, is it because when I installed it, I installed it in my account when his did not have admin abilities? Thanks again! Clay |

No need to reinstall the program, all you need to do is launch Soundtrack in your partners account and in the media manager click on the setup button and navigate to the location where the Sound track loops were installed and click on index now and you should be good 2 go. |
Jay nailed it in one. I hadn't seen this thread til now, apologies for the late response.

Gregg,
Your solution worked perfectly. Thanks, I have been doing everything to figure out, but as usual, all the wrong things. Thanks again. I appreciate it! Clay |
