FCP DV files for pC

Hi All,
I have a gig converting FCP originated DVcodec .mov's into .flv's using my PC.
The files are not recognised either by 'Squeeze' or indeed Quicktime player, which can only playback the audio componant.
Is there a conversion tool available that will allow me to complete this gig without re-rendering the source files?
Many thanks!

You need to know exactly what video CODEC has been used in the QT files. Like .AVI a .MOV is a wrapper around the audio & video & you need decoders for both. Clearly the video CODEC is missing from your PC as you cannot play it. Once it is installed then conversion tools should work OK. MPEG Streamclip works very well with QT files. Do you really need to output Flash Video (FLV) files or just files that will play in the Flash Player? FLV is another wrapper usually for VP6 or H.263 but nowadays the Flash Player handles H.264 MPEG4 video with AAC audio very well & that is a much better outpur format to work with.

I use Compressor to save it as H.264. When I move it to the PC, I simply change the extension to .FLV. Now you can use either Flash or Dreamweaver to embed the video for the Web.

I had NO IDEA you could do this! Thanks. I figured for sure that Flash required something specific written to th header or something...
