Final Cut Pro 4, whats your experance?

im interested in knowing what peoples experance is with Final Cut Pro 4, as im using this software package on my iMac to make my movie production movies i would like some info on peoples experanceses with this please.

Not only was it a free upgrade from 3.x but it's a massive upgrade.

FCP has a steep learning curve but the program constantly shows me more it can do all the time.

My favorite affordable NLE out there.

I switched from Avid Media Composer to FCP about 4 years ago. I haven't regretted it a bit. I find the interface very intuitive, and flexible for my needs. With each new version, Apple keeps improving an already great product with new features and refinements.

I just started using it, and so far it's great. I've done one small, small project while learning w/ a FCP book, it was just a real basic edit, no music or anything fancy, but it worked great. Seems like as long as you are willing to learn, you can "master" it in due time.
Easy to get into, as long as you have good Mac knowledge.

My experience was that FCP 4.1 is not as stable as FCP 3 wass (on the same hardware, obviously - Dual 1.42 G4) - but I suppose I will have to shortly go to 4.5 anyway - let's hope it's re-stabilised....

I have worked on both and can tell you I love FCP. I learned on the Avid Media composer and worked with it for 4 years. I have now owned FCP for about 2 months and love it.
