Se7en opening title sequence? plugin?

Hi everyone,

Does anyone know how to create the famous Se7en opening? I'm looking to do the titles that jump around randomly. If you know where I can get a plugin please let me know!

Christopher, I don't know about the plugin but the director of the title sequence, Kyle Cooper, is a serious talent. He is just awesome. Look it up.

Kyle Cooper seem like a busy titler! But, the Se7en thing is the only one I can recall from memory.

all optically

The lazy way to do something similar would be to simply create a title and add a "film look" filter to the title clip/slug. Then, set all of the film look attributes (IE: Grain, hair, ect.) to zero. Set all to zero except "frame jitter."

Set the "Frame Jitter" setting to around 85 to 90 and viola.

If you do one letter at a time and set the frame jitter attributes differently, you'll get a cooler effect.

That's just something I came up with while fooling around one day.

Hope it helps.

I think a good solution would be to stabilize the text layer to another layer living behind it.... synch it to some guys shoulder as he stands around and it will randomly move about... I think that was in videography or dv mag or something...

I did exactly what was posted above. I used cinelook to give the text a random shake, it worked great. You can check out the results at....

If you want to see more amazing title sequences, go check out Imaginary Forces. Cooper produced Se7en under them and there are many more amazing sequences in their projects section.
