Interesting...Almost like when Apple accidently leaked the G5 specs in June 2003 (minus the photo).

Oops...Steve's not going to take this nicely.

He pulled a bunch of books from Apple stores by Wiley publishing, over a biography about Jobs. It doesn't even sound like a bad one.

Oops! LOL!

Well I guess that's about the best confirmation available about what's coming out today, eh?

Apple, as of 8:26 AM EST on April 27, 2005, has shut down their Apple Store, likely to showcase the new computers (like the Power Macs). Will there be an announcement?

Did you guys read that Apple is pulling all John Wiley books from their stores because someone wrote an unauthorized biography of the Uber Furher Steve Jobs. After suing the Harvard kid and this fiasco, old Steve is beginning to look more and more like Bill Gates every day.

Um, yeah, I read about that in this same thread yesterday ;-)

Luis: note that you cannot link to pages in the Apple store. They are specifically created on each visit, so if you try the link later you just get a message that it's expired.

Just looked at the store. Interesting that they are still keeping the 1.8 single G5. Well I suppose that if I had just bought a dual 2 ghz model I'd be unhappy to see that it's now $500 cheaper. A little extra speed is never a bad thing, but I doubt we'll see a whole lot of difference in the 2.5 ghz vs the 2.7. The store is not showing speed bumped iMacs, eMacs or mini's as some had predicted.

"only" 4 gb of RAM--if you stop to think about the pace of computer technology for just a second, you've already fallen behind...! Thanks for the heads-up on the new systems, chaps.
