How to create this effect?

Does anyone know how to create the 'old' look of this video?

YouTube - Swedish House Mafia: DJ Mag Interview, Formentera, Ibiza

I'm currently using Final Cut Express but happy to purchase additional effects if necessary.

Many thanks for your help

Tim

It looks like some of the shots were shot on "film".

No, this is all digital but it's the 1970s style effect that has been applied to the film that I'm after here

I use Vegas Pro, not FCP, but you can go a long ways with flicker, grain, tint, defocus, vignetting, jitter and playing with your color wheels and color levels. You can also throw in some dust and hair in the projector if you need. The trick is usually to use these effects in careful moderation. Your example was done very nicely.

Isn't it interesting that we consider it a cool effect to de-tune our cameras 40 years!

I by no means have "expert eyes" but it looks to me like they may have used a 35mm adapter with their digital camera.

Also, Color has film grain filters that can be added. But I don't know how to re-create that look perfectly.

Nattrass film effects are a good starting point. Looks like a polarizing filter was used in the youtube video - this is a neat way to give the digital footage the appearance of greater dynamic range similar to film so that the skies are not blown out.
