Adding Chapter Markers shortcut?
I have about 100 clips in the timeline and I want to add a chapter marker at the start of each one. Is there a faster way than "down arrow, M, M, click on (Add Chapter Marker), <return>"?
I can relatively quickly add plain markers manually (down arrow, M, [repeat]), and I don't expect there to be a faster way to do that, but is there a way to set the default marker to be a chapter marker? That would certainly help. Just as good would be a way to select all the plain markers and change them to chapter markers in one step. Can Compressor change plain markers into chapter markers? Thanks, Mike. |
Re: Adding Chapter Markers shortcut?
I have 2 suggestions:
1) copy the [chapter] text after inserting the first chapter then use that (tab/paste) instead of clicking (you get a rhythm and it moves much quicker by keeping your hands on the keyboard) 2) insert markers (make the first one a chapter marker), then export markers to tab delineated file and alter in numbers/excel. In the marker column copy&paste CHAPTER to the entire column, save and re-import. I've never reimported the chapters to an FCP timeline, only to DVDSP but there should be a way to do so. PS - i'd test this out first before going thru all 100 Let us know how you make out. |
