Hello People!
When editing and using two monitors, should the monitors be the same? To get the same quality in both, or they can be different. Thank you |
They can be different.
I would always hook up at least a television (ideally a broadcast monitor) to your editing system, because it gives a more accurate idea of what your footage looks like. Underscan, interlace flicker being two major differences. In FCP, the monitor is a little weird so you dont always see full resolution or both fields. Hook up the TV via a deck or camcorder. |
While you can use two monitors of different brands, the difference in the color may eventually get to you, even if you use one for the desktop stuff and the other for the editing environment. I had who monitors of different types and it drove me nuts after a few weeks.
