FCP with Macbook Pro Retina Display
 

I currently have a 2009 Macbook Pro with Final Cut Studio 2 (Final Cut Pro version 6) and I'm looking to upgrade to a new laptop at some point this year. I'm interested in getting the new "retina display" version of the macbook pro, but I have read that it won't allow use of FCP6 and I really don't want to use FCPx. Does anyone have any suggestions about what can be done. Is it true that FCP7 still works on the new machines?
