Ultrawide monitors

I'm constantly looking for more screen real estate. I've tried the duel monitor set up, large single monitor setup, even plugging in my 42in Toshiba TV (worst idea ever).

I read a pretty good review of this monitor

Newegg.com - LG 29EA93-P 29" 5ms HDMI 21:9 UltraWide LED Backlight LCD Monitor, IPS Panel 300 cd/m2 50,000,000:1 4-Screen Split Built-in Speakers

has anyone used this or something similar. If so your thoughts please!

Thanks

Re: Ultrawide monitors

Brian,

I haven't used that monitor but I do have a 30 inch Costco special full HD TV for my edit bay screen. Personally I like it better than two 22 inch screens . When you have a client watching the master
cut and you hit the keyboard shortcut that makes the timeline go full screen you can get some
oohs and ahhs. Just make sure you have enough space on the desk. 30 inches is small for a TV set
but slap it in an edit bay and it seems huge

Re: Ultrawide monitors

I use dual 27" iMacs for my computer editing real-estate, a Panasonic BT-LH2600W for my edit preview & color correction, a Panasonic BT-H1350Y to check my SD font compliance, and an off the shelf 42" LCD TV for client preview.

You will want to double check the resolution of any monitor before you buy, as not all 27" monitors for example, are created equally.
