Thanks for your input, Shawn.

I was at my friend's redcording studio today, and he told me that for broadcast TV editing, that the KRK RP5's give very good accurate sound, and are a good buy for their price range. He mentioned that if you buy a speaker with a bigger base sound (like the KRK V8's, then you have to adjust the physics of your room so that you can receive accurate sound from the bigger speaker.

I may go with the KRKs, since my friend recommended them, and I listened to them in his studio and generally liked what I heard. (He has a pair of $4,000 speakers for his final mixing needs, and uses his KRKs for rough mixing).

I have a pair of the Behringer Truth monitors and love them. I've seen a few of my sound-engineer-friends who have them and like them as well. They are very affordable- +-$280, and they work well. Try them in a store.

Thanks Jeff...

I'll listen to them when I go to a speaker store and compare.
