Rotating HDV clips

I need to rotate some clips recorded with a Sony HC1 HDV camera because I used a 35mm adapter but I'm having a problem: when I do it, the borders look "jagged". The weird thing is I've done this with normal DV clips with good results.

Could it be the upper field interlacing or something? I really have no clue.

I don't use a MAC, but does it look that way after you render them out or only in preview.

It's strange. Final Cut doesn't ask for a render... it should, right?

Sometimes clips will playback fine, but they still need to render for full quality. Select "Sequence", "Render All", "Both", or Option-R. This will render all clips that have any transformations applied to them, even the ones that FCP is playing back in realtime.

D'oh! I wasn't aware of that, Scott. It solved my problem.
Thanks!
