Plug in for Pan and Scan?

Does anyone know of a plugin that will make pan and scan easier? I have to pan and scan a 16x9 HD project down to 4x3 and am having a bad time coming up with a good workflow.

Any ideas/suggestions welcome.

Many thanks

Harry

OK. I may be off here, but do you basically need to do an anamorphic (non-cropped) SD timeline, or do yoiu want to make a pan&scan DVD?

As for alt 1:
Drop your finished HD timeline into an SD anamorphic timeline of the right kind - be it uncompressed or DV.

This would be the thing to do if you're going for a tape out (digi/mini DV or whatever)

As for alt 2
Finish your show in HD. Make a reference movie and drop it on compressor.
The pan/scan and (or) letterbox setup is in DVD studio pro.

I want to be able to pan across the 16x9 area with a 4x3 frame size. That is to say, adjusting the position of the pan movement during a shot.

Thanks,

Harry

Ok.

Then I would have dropped the HD footage to an SD sequence and adjusted the scaling to suite my needs (remembering to keyframe the scale part in case I would need to change it.

Then I would have found a startingpoint, hit keyframe (in the motions tab), find my next sweetspot, hit keyframe again etc.

Or did I misunderstand again?

OK. I'll attempt to do that. That's very much for your help.
