Exporting for the web

Hi,

I just finished a project that a customer is interested in using for their website. I was wondering what the best way to get the material to him would be. I was going to mail a dvd film to him but when I export it from Final Cut Express, should I choose :

Format - Quicktime Movie

Use - Broadband High

And what export size settings should I use?

The movie is only 3 minutes but I want the full quality to be seen and be able to be uploaded quickly.

Thanks for any help.

This is a contradictory statement -;)

I am very happy with the h.264 encodings, (and actually the flip4mac wmv encoder (commercial product)).

You'll have to experiment with the sizes and setting untill you're happy - like the rest of us. Remember that if you come from a 16:9 sequence of sorts, you'll have to find a corresponding square pixel ratio.

The h.264 export settings in QT might give you a better feel of controll than the Compressor interface. (this is an interface issue, more than quality)

And why make a DVD?

Why not upload a test to a site to check if you're happy with the playback?

Thanks for your response, but I am not sure what you mean by this, should i upload it for my customer on his site or should I try it out at some sort of test site?
