Using a program like MPEG STREAMCLIP, you can convert the .m2t files to DVCPRO HD 720/24P. They should then be able to be imported into Avid.

Any updates yet?? I am not buying the DR-100 until I know I can work with 24P into FCP5 without any headache. At the same time I am tried of recording to tapes as my HD100 eats some of them when it gets hungry.

Apple has only just announced support for HDV 720p/24 in FCP at IBC (with version 5.1.2). http://www.digitmag.co.uk/news/index.cfm?NewsID=6118

It is not yet shipping, but we hope to add support for QuickTime with 720p/24 as soon as possible. It is difficult for us to develop when the product we are planning on supporting is not yet shipping! The QuickTime update for DR-HD100 with 720p/30 support is now shipping.
