JVC advice sought

Hi,
I have read a lot of posts on this forum and get confused and then inspired.
Am considering purchasing a JVC HD200U. Wondering if that's the best camera for me. I have been shooting 16mm film for 15 years and have to get a camera for new independent projects. Should I wait until after NAB?
If this camera, what sticks (am considering Vinten or Miller) and any mike recommendations? I usually use a single shotgun mike for most shoots, but am open to suggestions as to what to get for a good, solid kit that should last a really long time and should be flexible for ambient sound and the occasional interview/voiceover.
Thanks, I realize this is a huge question, so any input re: above will be helpful.

You may prefer the new JVC GY-HM700 instead of the HD200. Many improvements and tapeless. The camera is just released.

The JVC forum has some experienced users of the HD200 and now the HM700 who also have experience with film. Perhaps you could post a question there.

We have an entire forum dedicated to tripods...

The HD200 has similar requirements, as will the HM700. Hope this helps,
