HD cameras that also shoot SD
 

Which of the upper prosumer cameras, up to $10,000.00 have the option of also shooting in standard definition? Maybe they all do or don't. Just want to explore the purchase of those that have both options.

Any of the major brands, Sony, Canon, JVC and Panasonic

Panasonic's Proline series have been doing it for ages !! The HMC80 and the new AC-130 and 160 all have the ability to switch from either AVCHD to DV ..usually available in 480i or P too!!!

The higher end series right up to the HPX500 which goes over your limit as prices are body only but from the HPX170 up to the 500 it again has a DVCPRO/DV mode too.

I'm sure that Sony would have much the same???
