Hd 1080 50p (or 60p) to Hd 1080 50i (or 60i) converter device?
 

Is there some cheap 20$ gimmick I can buy on Amazon that converts progressive HD to interlaced HD (to use with Atem). Just a small box. Resolution and time information is there. Basically it has to combine two consecutive frames into one discarding even lines for one and odd lines for the other. No software. Just some kind of device?

I know it can be done by big DSP sure... but I have many combined comverters like sdi to hdmi etc ... just wondering

Have you tried going into your ATEM at 25p, or 29.97p?

It’s been a while, but my recollection is that this worked for me on an otherwise interlaced show config on a ATEM Production Studio 4k.

At $300 the Decimator MD-HX is over your budget, but it will do the conversion you want with no problem... and much, much more.

Note that the MD-LX model is $100, but it will NOT do the conversion.
