Hello....
As a newbie...I know you should smile with this question....but....

What is those things about 24/ 25 p...? What difference makes on the camera filming or at the end?

I just use to pick upo the camera...and...shoot!
Now that I want more quality camera and I came to read this foruns...I just "read" about it !

You use to say that FX-1 will be great with 24 p......what does it means? p = phrame??

Sorry...for this ...hum...well..basic question!

James,
24fps (frames per second) can be an acquisition format or a delivery format or both.
Some cameras have the ability to acquire at 24 fps, and everything that acquires in 24fps also is acquiring (recording) progressive frames vs interlaced frames.
Some cameras like the Canon, can shoot progressive or interlaced, depending on the mode it is in.
Film cadence of a 24fps camera is very similar to what speed film runs at. Therefore, there are those that are of the opinion that 24p is identical to shooting film in terms of film-looks.
Shooting 24p takes unique talent, lots of practice, or both.
Most video cameras shoot 25fps (interlaced or progressive) or 30fps (interlaced or progressive)

The question of interlaced vs progressive is really more of a debate than a factual discussion. Both have their advantages, both have their disadvantages. Eventually, all displayed media will be progressive as CRTs go away. LCD's and rear projection systems can display either progressive or interlaced, and most can display any framerate.
In the US, Canada, and Japan, all video is either 24p or 30fps interlaced, otherwise known as 60i. ("i" is for interlaced, "p" is for progressive)
In most of the rest of the world, it's 25fps interlaced, otherwise known as 50i. Many 50i devices cannot play 24p media. All US/Canada/Japan DVD players can play 24p, 30p, or 60i.

Hope this helps?
