Media management - Log & batch capture from external hard disk?
 

Is there any NLE or software out there that logs & batch captures from external hard disks? Similar to the way you would log & batch capture from tape? I'd like to be able to just pull-in and organize the footage that I "might" use onto my editing station, instead of all the footage that was shot.

* I have both a Mac/FCS2 and PC/Sony Vegas 8 editing station. HDV Footage has been captured to external hard disk in .M2T format
