Sharing - Best Format - JVC HD10U

Hello,

Shot some great footage with my JVC HD10U and want to share it with others (MAC & Windows) but was wondering which format is most easilty used by the majority of non-linear editors.

The .MPEG-2 compression native to the camera or the .avi files I can convert the .MPEG-2 files into by using Cineform's Aspect HD software?

Cheers,
Sasha

I vote camera native files

I vote for the native .mt2 or .ts files. we can do whatever we can with them once we get it to our system.

For editing, the native MPEG2 files should be readable by most HDV-capable software. For distribution, the most widely useful option for now is Windows Media HD. My brother ran some tests and found that HDV looks pretty good in WMV format at data rates as low as 1.5-2 Mbps, which can be streamed off a web site with a fast cable modem connection.
