HDV to DVCam downconverted capture
 

I have not yet found a way to capture DVCam footage downconverted on the fly from my Z1E. I know the ZiE is configured correctly to output DVCam because it will record it direct to my Sony DSR 11 deck. If I try to capture the same footage into Premiere Pro 1.51 or Matrox X Tools I always get an unreadable file. Any suggestions? Thanks.

I forgot to mention. I can capture downconverted DVCam to my Vaio laptop, via Premiere Pro, even though it is only on Service Pack 1 XP Home Edition. So it looks to be a conflict with the Matrox Xtreme drivers I have on my desktop NLE or Aspect HD. I will try the Matrox forum for an answer too.

Further clarification. The problem only occurs when I capture to my Maxtor external firewire dirve. Internal drives are ok. Is there a way to solve this issue, such as a dual port firewire card?
