SATA or IDE drive for HDV editing?

I'm slowly assembling a P4 setup for HDV editing, and would be interested in hearing from users who have used either SATA or EIDE drives for PC editing.
Is SATA more reliable? Faster? Is EIDE adequate? Thanks

They're the same speed, because the bottleneck is not in the drive interface but the hard drive itself.

Newer models tend to be faster, and newer models tend to be SATA. That extra speed is kind of like the extra speed of SATA versus parallel ATA... it doesn't make a difference if it's not the bottleneck.
