Happened across this. While I am happy with my Dell 2405FPW, those of you considering a "jumbotron" may want to look at this. I believe Hollywood is hard at work killing off DVI and this gives some flexibility.

Yup, I've mentioned that monitor in my Dell vs. Samsung thread. Actually, it seems many people are quite unhappy with both the Dell and Samsung, which made me look at the BenQ.

Problems with the BenQ:
no 1:1 pixel mapping, meaning if you hook up Xbox or external DVD player, it will stretch the picture to 16:10 instead of 16:9. If you play DVDs on a PC player, or videos with a software that allows you to force aspect ratio, or have a Nvidia card that allows you to do the same, then you're okay, but still, why would they have all those extra inputs only to have them stretch to 16:10. That seems to be the sole complaint about this monitor.

I am waiting for the Z version though when they also incorporate the BFI (black frame insertion) technology to further limit ghosting. It's supposed to cost $100 more. Maybe it will include 1:1 pixel mapping too.

The review on Trusted Reviews doesn't say anything much - it just says it's perfect.
