23.98p Mpeg-2 reading as 29.97i in DVDSP
 

I have a 24p project I exported using Compressor @ 23.98

It reads as 23.98, and plays at 24 fps when jogging through the frames.

However, in DVDSP it reads as 29.97 in the Video Tab, as well as 29.97 in the Inspector Tab in the Assets window.

DVDSP states that it will recognize a 24p project if mpeg-2 encoded, and even though the display rate may read 29.97, it would still say 24p in the Assets window.

Can anyone tell me why DVDSP is not recognizing it as 23.98?
