I have a reasonably cool set up...

Dell Precision 390 with QX6700 quad core 2.66ghz... 2Gb RAM... 1.5Tb storage.. Vegas 7; After Effects 7; Maya 7... Graphics card is fairly marginal 128Mb Nvidia Card... It does support dual screen which I use with two 21" widescreen monitors... I need to get that Nvidea Card for video editing (FX560) that supports component out and a dual monitor set up...

At first I had issues getting Vegas to utilize all of my systems abilities.. I got it up to a 'satisfactory' level of performance... Way better than my old system but still not at 100%... After effects is great... It's blazing fast after I got a plug-in that puts all renders at 100%...

But I wonder if you can't get that adapter separately and maybe buy a better video board, with more memory capacity, like 256MB or 512MB, and spend much less than on a Quadro.
