Using the Everio with a Video Mixer

I want to do live online broadcasting and was wondering if could use the Everio's Out (S-Video, Component, FireWire, Composite) and connect to a Video Mixer such as:

Edirol / Roland | V-4 Four Channel Video Mixer | V-4 | B&H Photo

With the particular mixer above, I would have to use Composite, which is fine for now. I cant really afford an HD mixer yet. Just some insight would be nice, Ive never messed with video mixers before and Im just wondering if Im able to use the Everio with a mixer like above. Thanks!

I don't see any reason why not. That should work. We do the same thing with GL2s at my high school.

That mixer though is pretty expensive. I assume that you're using multiple cameras, right? Otherwise there wouldn't be too much of a need for a mixer.

I've never tried it using multiple camcorders, but if you're on a mac, give Wirecast a go (link: Vara Software : Wirecast). You might be able to set up some sort of firewire hub and connect multiple cameras to that, then wirecast would allow you to switch between them on your computer. It's one possible solution that would be a little bit cheaper.
