Jerking Image from HD7
Hi,,
I current taste my video light with HD7. Everything is good on Monitor and even LCD itself. when i open up with QTpro, i found that the Edge do really presented JERKING-unsmooth when playback. I try to Convert or Export in from QTpro into several format-H.264, Apple ProRes, DVCProHD...erm...finally, same JERKING-unsmooth result presented at all...What's the Problem? Interlaced,De-Interlaced,Progressive...everything i've tried...failed me!!! The same enviroment i did a recording with Panny SD100 and Canon HF10, pretty cool and wonderful smooth at all ... Help Help!!! Btw, i'm using PAL system. Thanks for your precious opinion!!! |
My first thought would be the shutter speed of your original recording. For NTSC, 1/60, or better yet, 1/30, are really the only speeds that should be used. They allow just enough blur. Regardless of the shutter speed used in recording, in the end it has to fill the display rate for the television.
Steve Mullen's shooting guide for the HD7 provides the details that make sense. Search his posts here. you should find a useful link. |
I have never edited in quicktime so that might be the problem.
Also you should try filming a panning scene in full HD and then do the same shot again in the 1440 cbr mode. Then see if there is any difference. The camera shoots interlaced so the edges may show some jagginess until they are rendered with some type of blend method when rendered to a deinterlaced version of some kind. Try rendering to windows media 9 dual pass with blend mode as deinterlace type if you have another editor that allows that. Try other deinterlace modes as well perhaps if the blend mode does not take away the jerking edges. Hope you find something that works for you and that you will update the post with your results. |
