GY-HD100/110 handle

I have a GY-HD100 I noticed the 110 has a 3/8 thread in the handle now. If I were to buy the top half of the handle could I just swap mine out to get the thread. I really hate the hot shue only thing. Also How much do you think the top of the handle would be?

I think there are 3rd party camera support companies that may have a clamp on solution for you. Maybe zacuto?

changing the handle is a non-trivial job. there is a heat sink in the handle, as well as lots of wire / switches. better to look for a 3rd party product to do the job... and don't forget the front of the handle is not the strongest thing in the world - see my post on the DYI handle repair

I havent taken it apart yet but it looks like I onlu need to replace the top side of the "clam shell" not the whole handle.

I have the HDV Handle that Matt has referenced. It is perfect for the JVC camera. You can adjust it along the JVC handle for balance. It works just fine.
