What is a good low to mid priced 35mm Adpter for the gy-hd100? Any packages with everyting included available? Thanks in advance. EDT

Hi edward,
For me the best adaptor is the sgpro, we have a similar one and have used it on our last music video w/ lots of success. I have tested the Brevis and redrock before but never been convinced by their bokeh look. Check the site www.shoot35.com |
Simon,
Do you use the SGpro Follow Focus? If you do, can you offer comments on how it works? How much slack does it have? Thanks! |

We use the SGPro follow focus unit and found it to be great with the JVCGYHD201 (with its inbuilt image flip). We had a semi-retired professional focus-puller on set who is of course very experienced and he was impressed with it and had no issues. By the way, I second Simon's recommendation of the SGPro as a good low price 35mm adapter for JVC cameras. Just a bit of tweaking to do in regard to achieving reliable focus and a better achromat required to avoid the vignetting. But then again maybe I am biased as the SGPro guys live just around the corner from me..! Dan |
