JVC HD110U- Looking for affordable power supply
 

I am doing some wedding videography next weekend and am looking for the cheapest portable battery setup for my HD 110U. Can anybody help me out with suggestions on what to get? I found the series 7 adapter and batteries on B and H but they are out of stock!!!

Can anybody recommend a system that is the same or cheaper and where to get it at?

get the anton bauer mount for $150 or the V mount plate which is about the same. didn't you get this when you bought the camera ?

then rent or borrow some batteries+charger for the gig. realistically, don't waste your money on the stock battery system because they have short runtime, very long charge time, and just aren't cost effective once you get enough of them to equal ONE AB or IDX battery. you are not going to save any money here. there are also plenty of third party batteries from there. once you get a real battery system, you won't regret it for the peice of mind it gives. with a 4-6hr continuous run time, you'll never sweat running out in the middle of a 1hr ceremony or trying to plan a swap when there are a few moments where nothing is going on

Not sure if this conversation is still current, but I use the Swit 8080 batteries which are pretty reasonably priced, certainly in the UK. I find they last about two hours, and take about 90 minutes to charge.

I have the IDX sys. 3 batts. 2 IDX and a (Batteries for Broadcast) 120 wh
the thing is these batts. not only run the camera they can run my DR 100
and a ON CAMERA LIGHT and like Steve said you don't have to worry about running out of POWER. When doing a wedding all you need to do is miss that
one important shot and they WILL bust your B****. I KNOW BEEN THERE

It's sold by powersupply4video, but there are others. It's similar to a computer power supply and it's worked flawless for me. It's regulated power and it is good all over the world. It was a great alternative to the JVC "optional" power supply or the Titan. Sure, I'd probably trust either of these a little more, but this one hasn't given me any reason to second guess it. I only use it when I'm watching footage or digitizing - on set, I always try to use batteries.

Discontinued BN-V438U Battery for GY-HD100 and GY-HD110U
 

JVC sent out a notice that the stock battery, BN-V438U, for the GY-HD100U and GY-HD110U has been discontinued.

No indication if a replacement battery for the BN-V438U was in the works.
