Wow!! Thanks for the heads up!

Now, it's decisions, decisions, decisions...

Unless you're trying to get away from tape, this professional, full-sized, shoulder-mount unit with 1/3" CCD's, 3.5" viewfinder, XLR inputs, 24p and 30p, and interchangeable lens is quite a bargain! B&H is selling them for $3895!

Perhaps the upcoming Panny HMC150 is already exerting downward pressure on camcorder pricing!

I got the FE DTE Pro drive (for JVC specific) and it works better than Pansonics P2 card system on a mac. 3 hours of footage transfers via firewire to my G-Raid in 18-23 minutes. P2 cards are generally real time transfer on a mac platform I'm told. PC should be faster because there is no reincoding.. though other people on this forum will be more knowledgable. So I vote for JVC HD110 for most things, just save a bit for a 17x or a 13x lens and a DTE drive.... oh and a Varizoom zoom control.... and well... a better bigger tripod than what you might have... and... and... and... and... and...
