I don't agree. They could just have said nothing. Nobody would never know and people would not accuse them of lying if they do replace it on summer. As it is now, it will make more damage since the guy who said it is known and pretty high in the JVC food chain. If they do it, it will look bad for JVC.

No it’s not. He was obviously talking about this version, which if they had to replace it already with only 6 months would mean it wasn’t a mature and ready product.

That’s what I think. It’s about the same time between the DV500 and DV5000 and seems to be how the camera industry works in generally.
