HD100 with my set up

Hey guys

Still thinking about the HD100, but looking good at mo:

My edit set up is:

Can DVStorm2 with

Intel Pen 4 3.2ghz
1024MB RAM
128mb Radeon 9200

Editin with Adobe prem 1.5

Would my computer be able to capture footage from the HD100

Can anyone see any issues?

Cheers Guys

Ant

The computer is definitely up to the task. I don't have DVStorm so can't comment on that, (does it even support HDV?), but I highly recommend Cineform Aspect HD for editing HDV in Premiere Pro.

I have a P4 3.0
2G RAM
256MB nVidia card

With that setup I can not do straight editing on raw HDV files without using connect HD (Vegas 6d).

So, yeah. Check out Aspect HD.

?

Do you think I would be able to edit SD images from the HD100 as normal? AND Perhaps get aspect HD if I decide to edit HD down the line?

I'm not an expert, but editing the SD files straight shouldn't be a problem. If I can, you should no problme. And to be honest, it's not that hard to use an intermidiary like aspect to edit HDV. I know next to nothing about what I'm doing and am still able to do that. It just takes time to render the files, so just don't expect to shoot hours of footage and come right back and edit away. I downloaded the trial version of connect HD and gave it a shot. It's really good, in my opinion, and the support system at Cineform is great.

Hope I'm helping.

Wouldn't happen to be in S CA, are you? :)

Editing SD is not a problem at all with your computer set up.
