HD100 PAL filming
I just got an HD100E. When in DV mode there are 2 settings to choose from, DV50i or DV25p. Which is best for which type of filming?
Thank you |

It depends. The 25p is progressive, one whole frame at the time. 50i is interlaced, 1/2 frame (1 field) every 1/50 of a second. Given the opportunity you probably want to use 25p, if gives you better overall quality. If the final destination of your work will be video you can interlace it at the end. -- Paolo |

Hey guys thanks for all your help!!

I use 25p for documentarys and 50i for sports, shows, events and everything with lots of action. 25p require soft camera's movements following the subject, it's better for controled situations.

The end result will be on dvd. So, for example to shoot weddings, what is better, 25p or 50i?
