12V to 7.2V
 

A little while ago I asked here, who make a 12V 4pin XLR to 7.2V converter for the HD100, and nobody can give a usuable answer. I need use my portable 12V batteries (can, belt) which are has a 4pin XLR output.
Well... I find Alex Dolgin

and after I talked to him, he modified his converter (which is was designed for the Pana DVX100, and the Canon XL1-2) for the HD100. I ordered one and later (after he adjusted the output a little bit higher) I bought one more. (Now actually he selling this converter for all HDV cameras)
It's work very good, very light and give a stable 7.2V for my camera.
So, now I can use my portable 12V batteries.

How long have you been using the ones you bought? And does the camera read as 7.2 on the viewfinder when in use?

I bought my first one about seven weeks ago. My second came two weeks ago. And yes, it's show 7.1 - 7.2V
Nice, small and light enough. I velcroed to my 12V "powercan" and I use a 4pin XLR coiled cable (nice and short) from the powercan to this converter. From here I use the supplied cable (with 2.5 mm connector) to the camera
