New musicvideo shot on HD101
The video is shot in 24p mode with Tims "cinewide" setting and edited with adobe premiere pro. All CC has been done with "Magic Bullet". I used the original 16x fujinon. The video is near zero budget with only two people as crew (me and my friend). The artist is Armenian but he sings in arabic in this song. I have directed/shot/edited this video!
The video is encoded with DivX-HD and is 116mb large. You can download it here: http://www.megaupload.com/se/?d=9EPKANKW Let me know what you think. Cheers! |

I watched it. Nicely done. Again, this once again proves to me this is a an extremely versitile and quality camera that can be a very powerful tool in the proper creative hands =)
Can you share your settings and any other insight to your shoot? Lighting etc. |

Soroush, it looks pretty good, as far as framing and focus; the edit cuts could've been a bit a faster, though. I also feel you guys were a little shy on color. Somehow I expected it to be more 24p-ish, more "filmic" than that. I don't, maybe it's just me. And what's with the greenish tone? You could've gotten rid of that. Overall, I think it's good work, though. BTW, what's the location? looks like Lebanon or Armenia. |
Thx Brian, I can tell you that we where a 2 man crew (just me and a friend) and a tiny budget. I have always worked as a lone-wolf with very very few ppl in my crews.
I had the camera detail set to minimum and used Tims "Cinewide" setting on the camera running in 24p. I really love and enjoy working with this camera as it feels alot like working with a hybrid of HD/16mm. I wish I had access to a better lens though, this one has clearly alot of shortcomings! Jaadgy, thanks for your comments. The video was shot here in Sweden/Stockholm but Im glad you mentioned Lebanon/Armenia as that was the exact atmosphere that I was looking for when looking and choosing the locations. Regarding the colours, I was after something between Machinist/Se7en look and was thus very shy on using too much colours. I also used the CC settings on this video as a testing ground for my feature film bc that film will contain the same kind of locations (suburbs) as those shot in this video. |
I personally liked it, good job :) its nice to see this camera is used world wide to make good projects.
