GY-HD200U release announcement

Many of you have been asking about the GY-HD200U price and availability. So, now this new model is officially announced. Here is a link to the press release and website:

This website should answer many questions.

A small number of units are expected to be available for shipments to dealers at the end of November.

Regards, Carl

Wow....this new camera looks very interesting.... some of the things that turned me off of the HD110 is included on this cam...ie battery mount, better encoder, and of course 50p/60p !!

Question* how much of an improvement has been made with the amount of noise produced in the picture? is it significantly less than the HD110? and is there an improvement on the low light performance over the previous models?

The product photos show "GY-HD250" on the tape drive window. Is it just the label that is incorrect or are these the wrong photos?

Here's the answer to your questions. It's something Stephen Noel provided FYI.

Just the wrong label. This is probably a picture of an engineering sample. Production models will be labeled correctly.

Thanks Carl. That's great to know because it means the HD200 has more rugged connectors than the HD100/110.

Good job JVC!

Are the HD200s shipping in the U.S yet? Its late November, has it been delayed?

I can't speak for your country, but here in the U.S. there are units in the country, in Q.C. now, and they should be in the warehouse, available for sale to dealers in a few days.
