I just had this email conversation with Mike from MTF Services a couple of days ago.
"I have recently designed a Canon FD to JVC adaptor and I expect the prototype back from the engineers any day now. By the way, feel free to mention me or paste a link to my site on that forum !! Cheers. Nikon Adapter
Hi Guys,
Its ages since I have checked the website, some great news the First completed Wildlife film with shots filmed with the JVC100 and the Nikon adapter is Abu Dhabi- Land of the Legendary Mermaid. Well the film has won a Merit award for Cinematography at IWFF, in Montana USA. I will upload a HD mp4 file hopefully soon. All the info on the use of the nikon mount is there in the past links. I am not sure if they will still work Yusuf http://www.itp.net/business/features...gory=broadcast http://www.itp.com/magazines/current.php?magid=9 http://www.dvinfo.net/conf/showthrea...ht=Nikon+Mount http://www.dvinfo.net/conf/showthrea...ht=Nikon+Mount http://www.dvinfo.net/conf/showthrea...ht=Nikon+Mount |
Nikon adaptor/blackening
Birchwood Casey makes a product called Aluma Black and gunsmiths use it for blackening aluminum. It is not a paint but works like a gun blue where it changes the color of the metal to black and will not chip or rub off. I think the JVC mount is magnesium but it does work on it to color it black, also. I used a paper towel wet with the liquid, applied it to the metal, and changed it to black. Be careful not to get any on the imaging glass. Seems to work OK.
