do you leave tape in your camera?

when you're not using it do you remove the tape?

Frank Granovski April 1st, 2004 02:12 AM

Should you? No.

Do I do it? Yes.

I never had a problem yet by leaving in my FUJI miniDV tape.

It's not a good idea to leave tape in a camera for an extended period of time, say more than a day or two. Reason: since the tape will remain threaded through the transport spindles it will eventually become permanently deformed.

you use only Fuji right Frank? That's all i've run so far and what i planned on sticking with.

Frank Granovski April 1st, 2004 04:02 AM

I have used other kinds of tape in other people's cams, and there were gumming problems when tapes were mixed. The only problems I had in the past were with JVC tapes and a Pana tape cleaner. The Fuji's never gave me any problems. Yes, Fuji's are all I use.
