digitize vhs into final cut

Hello. I've been asked to digitize and transfer vhs to dvd (no editing) by a friend. I currently have a mac pro fcp 8 core 2.8 with leopard 7.1 and a blackmagic intensity pro. I've been capturing the vhs video through the pinnacle video capture hub with video being outputted from a vhs player for mac.

Can I use the blackmagic intensity pro to connect my vhs player and capture the video through final cut pro and choose any file format. I want to capture to final cut because the pinnacle capture system is so flawed it won't let me choose my capture drive and folder so everything is unorganized.
So what do I need to connect my vhs to the intensity pro if it is possible?

Mayer, forum policy is not to post the same question in more than one thread. You've posted the same question here:

I have a pre-copy protection VHS camcorder by JVC hooked into my computer through the s-video of my JVC Digital camcorder through the firewire port. It has a mode that allows it to act as a firewire bridge and is one of the reasons I bought that model.

Yes, check your manual or download one from the Blackmagic website.
